This was a wild, but fun weekend!! My car engine blew on my way to Seattle, and I wasn’t going to be able to make it to my appointment. Rescheduling that on the side of the road while I waited for my tow was interesting to say the least. I at first just wanted to call to say I was having car trouble and would be late, but couldn’t find their number anywhere. After doing some internet diving, I found a 1-800#, and gave it a ring, and quickly started to understand the 2.3 star reviews of this place. When I called, it led me to an automated line that informed me it would be a charge of 2$/min to talk to someone, but “Good news! The first 7 minutes are free!”. I thought that sounded great, as it would only be a quick call. I accepted and it then took me to a prompt for all my credit card details. Seriously?! This is a random 1-800# that I found online, and it’s asking for a credit card number right away?! No thanks. Luckily, I was able to find a confirmation email that had a link where I could reschedule and move it to Monday morning. Thank God! That’s one problem solved, and now for the car. I ended up having it towed to the Toyota dealership since it was the only place nearby that could look at it Easter weekend. There wasn’t much to look at. It’s 30 years old and has over 308k miles on it. I’m honestly impressed it’s lived as long as it did. I think they’d hoped when I showed up at the dealership that I’d leave with a new car, but I explained to them that I’m hopefully moving soon, and that it’s a really bad time for me to buy. They were nice enough to give me an lyft discount code and send me on my way. It was very helpful!! Also, when I got to the hotel, I told the lady about my day and she gave me a bunch of drink vouchers, which really helped as well 😀 I was originally gonna stay in a cute old hotel built in 1904, but that didn’t work out either because they weren’t very clear on their pet policy. They say pets are welcome, but it turns out it’s only service animals. All that’s fine though, because I really liked the other place! Not only because of the free drinks, but because the location was perfect and it was super dog friendly! Anywho, back to my car situation! I thought I’d end up spending my whole weekend trying to find a cheap car that would make it a couple of months, but the car rental by my hotel had a great monthly deal and I was able to find a rental in my budget for the remainder of my time here. Everything ended up working out well! There were unexpected cost, but I still got to have my biometrics appointment, a fun weekend in Seattle, and now I have a much nicer car than my old Toyota!! Overall it was a really fun weekend!!
